In this role, you will be responsible for producing and modifying electrical and electronics design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for transportation projects. You’ll work closely with the project manager to conduct research, develop designs, perform calculations, and deliver solutions. You will apply engineering principles and design criteria to complex, multidisciplinary projects. Drawing on your technical expertise, you will address design challenges, collaborate with the project manager, and complete tasks on schedule. You’ll create conceptual and detailed designs using the latest tools and software. Additionally, you may mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and constructive feedback. As part of the team, you will help deliver successful projects for a diverse range of clients.

What You’ll Do:

• Use advanced technical expertise to evaluate a wide range of engineering solutions.
• Lead discipline-specific planning, work distribution, schedule adherence, and budget management on complex or unconventional projects.
• Contribute to marketing efforts, including proposal development.
• Define the scope of work and manage the project’s budget and schedule for complex engineering tasks within the discipline.
• Ensure the completeness and accuracy of the project team’s work.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring project goals are met on complex projects.
• Coordinate the technical aspects of the project with clients and teaming partners for work within the discipline on unique or complex engineering projects.
• Lead discipline delivery on large, multidisciplinary projects and collaborate with other disciplines on these projects.
• Help plan and coordinate the schedule, work hours, and task distribution across different disciplines in multi-disciplinary projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 8 years of relevant experience, or
• Master’s degree in Engineering with 7 years of relevant experience, or
• PhD in Engineering with 6 years of relevant experience.

You’ll bring senior-level expertise in electrical engineering, particularly in low and medium power distribution, highway lighting, security systems (CCTV, card access), and movable bridges, primarily within the transportation sector.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Master’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years of relevant experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
