Position Overview:
The Accountant II position within the General Accounting department offers an opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge of the University’s cash flow and investment portfolios. This role is responsible for understanding and reconciling various accounts, collaborating with state and federal departments, and handling funding requests and reports.
Under general supervision, the Accountant II performs moderately complex professional accounting functions. This includes analyzing, maintaining, consolidating, and reconciling financial records; preparing and interpreting financial reports and statements; participating in budget development; and providing training or assistance to other employees as needed.
Experience: Two years of progressively responsible accounting experience in a computerized accounting system.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, OR a Master’s degree in Accounting.
