Role Overview: Outpatient RN – Clinical Advancement Program (CAP 1)
As an entry-level Registered Nurse (RN) in our Clinical Advancement Program, you’ll be a vital member of the healthcare team caring for patients with End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD). You will provide direct patient care, participate in treatment planning, and collaborate with fellow clinical staff to deliver high-quality dialysis services. This role offers leadership, education, and growth opportunities while helping improve patients’ lives every day.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Performing patient assessments before, during, and after dialysis treatments
- Administering prescribed medications and responding to emergency situations
- Collaborating with patients and families to support health education and self-care
- Coordinating care with Patient Care Technicians and other clinical staff
- Supporting quality improvement efforts and ensuring accurate documentation
- Participating in staff training and orientation of new team members
Work Conditions & Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing, bending, and lifting during patient care
- Occasional moving of equipment (up to 200 lbs with assistance)
- Exposure to healthcare environments and infectious materials
- May require travel to training sites or nearby facilities
Supervisory Duties:
Upon meeting Fresenius training requirements and with relevant experience, you may be designated as a Team Leader overseeing Patient Care Technicians, LPNs, LVNs, or other RNs.
Education, Licensing & Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- One of the following:
- CGFNS VisaScreen Certificate
- NCLEX pass letter
- Active RN license for the intended U.S. state of employment
- Current state licensure and CPR BLS certification
- At least 9 months of RN experience preferred (chronic/acute dialysis a plus)
