Position Overview:

The successful candidate will serve as a primary point of contact for employee IT support and will be responsible for:

• Managing the IT helpdesk system for first-response employee support
• Providing after-hours support for critical IT issues
• Assisting in the maintenance of networking, server, and telecommunications systems
• Collaborating with the Director of IT on project implementation and solutions
• Overseeing first-tier security protocols, ensuring machine and device compliance across the firm
• Performing other duties as needed

Key Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A solid understanding of network and PC operating systems, particularly in a Windows desktop environment
• A willingness to travel to other offices as required by the Director of IT
• Strong ability to read and analyze log files
• A customer-first mindset with exceptional internal service orientation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present technical concepts in user-friendly terms
• Ability to clearly document systems and processes
• Adaptability to quickly learn and implement new technologies
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
• A proactive approach to problem-solving, anticipating issues and suggesting solutions
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team with diverse colleagues
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Comfort in working with senior stakeholders
• High professional standards, sound judgment, and discretion
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
• The physical capability to lift up to 50lbs

A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, along with 1-3 years of experience supporting business technology users, including extensive experience in user application support.

Ballentine Partners offers a competitive compensation package, which includes a base salary and annual performance bonuses. The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000, depending on experience.
