The Gig: Staff Electrical Manufacturing Engineer
We’re on the hunt for a sharp Staff Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to join our crew. You’ll take the wheel on building and perfecting the electrical PCBs and harnesses that keep our autonomous rigs rolling. Teaming up with our hardware pros and external manufacturers, you’ll streamline how these critical components come together. From drafting work instructions to chasing down manufacturing hiccups, you’ll ensure our driverless vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready to rock.

What You’ll Do:

• Own the build process for electrical harnesses and PCBs, keeping quality sky-high.

• Push design for manufacturability (DFM) from kickoff to final testing.

• Write crystal-clear work instructions and specs for harness routing like a pro.

• Roll out automated test setups to level up our manufacturing game.

• Track down issues, analyze failures, and slam the door on problems.

• Spark continuous improvement with new gear to scale up production.

• Train techs hands-on, getting into the nitty-gritty of hardware.

• Bridge manufacturing snags to design teams and steer MCO processes.

• Think outside the box to tackle clashing priorities.

• Drive contract manufacturing for harnesses and PCBs, automating where you can.

• Stick to a tight ISO26262-aligned quality process.

• Sync up with Software, Mechanical, and Manufacturing teams, plus outside suppliers.

• Hit the road sometimes to support vehicle builds.

What You’ll Bring:

• BS or MS in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent chops).

• 10+ years in electrical manufacturing—bonus if it’s automotive or aerospace.

• 5+ years wrangling PCBAs, harnesses, and test equipment.

• Killer failure analysis skills.

• Experience debugging low-level hardware buses (I2C, CAN, SPI, Ethernet) on vehicles.

• Hands-on vibe—equally at home in the shop or behind a screen.

• Ace communication—your docs are clear, concise, and spot-on.

• Fired up about autonomous tech and its world-changing potential.
