Position Overview: A Snapshot of Your Day

We’re expanding the Engineering team within Distributed Global Customer Operations!

As a Scope Lead, you will begin each day by organizing tasks to support multiple simultaneous projects. In this lead role, you will be responsible for reviewing contracts, ensuring timely delivery of engineering documents, evaluating project scope, identifying any gaps, coordinating meetings to clarify technical issues, mentoring team members, and reporting to your direct manager as well as other leadership teams across the business.

Responsibilities: How You’ll Make an Impact

Implement Siemens Energy’s design standards and guidelines, adapting the scope to meet project-specific requirements, including customer specifications, regional or statutory requirements at the installation location, and any special application needs.

Support the Project Manager in both internal and external meetings, helping with operational activities such as production planning, addressing non-conformances, and reviewing supplier documentation.

Utilize your expertise in assigned systems to manage scope projects independently, mentor team members, and review/approve the work of others within your field.

Collaborate with local and global teams across Siemens Energy Engineering, Project Management, Procurement, Quality, Manufacturing, and Installation to support project execution.

Take ownership of the technical scope in your subject area, working with other leads to ensure compliance with the configuration plan and customer requirements.

Assist Proposal Managers by reviewing requirements, conducting gap analysis against standard designs, and evaluating risks for aeroderivative and medium rotating equipment bids.

Requirements: What You Bring

• A Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
• Experience with Aeroderivative or Medium Gas Turbine packaging is a plus.
• At least 10 years of experience in the design and specification of electrical and/or mechanical systems for gas turbines, particularly in compression and power generation applications.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Our Gas Services division focuses on providing low-emission power generation solutions through service and decarbonization. We offer a range of services for gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, with a focus on modernization and digitalization to support decarbonization.
