Job Summary/Basic Functions
This position is within the Division of Facilities Management & Safety. The architect will oversee capital construction projects across the main campus and regional campuses. The Capital Construction Project Administrator is responsible for ensuring effective communication between user groups and design professionals, ensuring projects are designed to meet program goals efficiently and completed within budget and on schedule. This position manages projects from initial planning and programming to budgeting and through the warranty phase.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Experience: At least one year of experience beyond the requirements for licensure.

Licensure & Certifications: Must be licensed as a professional architect by the State Board of Examiners and Registration of Architects, or as a professional engineer by the State Board of Licensure for Engineers and Land Surveyors. Must maintain a current license as a professional architect or professional engineer.

Job Duties

75% – Administer Capital Construction projects.

10% – Creation of Capital Construction Projects.

10% – Develop Documents and Specifications for Capital Construction.

5% – Provide support for office functions and special projects as assigned.
