Senior iOS Software Engineer

Location: San Mateo, CA (Hybrid – in-office Monday to Friday, with 1 remote day/week)

As a key member of our close-knit mobile team, you’ll work on creating seamless, engaging experiences that impact millions of learners around the world.

From new feature development to performance optimization, you’ll take ownership of the full development lifecycle, contributing to a product that changes how students, teachers, and parents engage with learning — all while working with a team that cares deeply about innovation, quality, and education.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build intuitive iOS features using Swift and modern iOS frameworks
  • Adapt and optimize user experience with Apple’s design guidelines and best practices
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, web engineers, and content teams
  • Debug and maintain existing features to ensure top performance and usability
  • Drive mobile development forward with thoughtful insights and technical leadership

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • Solid experience building and launching iOS apps
  • Strong grasp of mobile app performance, memory usage, and networking efficiency
  • Familiarity with back-end systems and integrating APIs
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Enthusiasm for building tools that improve education through technology
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in working in a small, agile team

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $130,000 – $200,000 (based on experience, skills, and location)
