What You’ll Bring:

• A B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and releasing interior subsystems and adjoining parts, including component manufacturing and assembly processes.
• 3+ years of experience using 3D CAD software collaboratively (e.g., NX, Catia, 3DX).
• 1+ year of experience in the production release process.
• 1+ year of experience in a factory setting, launching a new product.

Even Better, You May Have:

• A Master’s Degree in Engineering.
• A strong understanding of GD&T standards.
• Expertise with Catia, Enovia, or similar tools, including drawing and modeling practices.
• Hands-on experience in building and launching automotive products.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other information management tools.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent expertise from a recognized design institution.
• Experience with Confluence, Jira, Asana, or similar project management tools.
• A passion for cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, high-performing team environment.
• A system-focused approach to design and development, with a commitment to continuous improvement and exceptional execution.

What You’ll Do:

• Create and develop interior system requirements and specifications, while collaborating with design, supply chain, and core teams to ensure engineering execution.
• Define vehicle-aligned component and system targets related to function, cost, weight, and investment.
• Design 3D geometry and innovative concepts that solve challenging crash load cases, optimizing for construction, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Conduct analytical and physical assessments to optimize designs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations.
• Deliver top-quality craftsmanship and fit/finish through proper implementation of GD&T.
• Develop and implement novel construction techniques and materials, driving them toward production feasibility.
• Foster effective communication across Studio, Packaging, Advanced Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supplier teams to deliver optimal design solutions.
• Present concepts and status updates to senior management and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and progress.
