As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Care department, you will provide and lead safe, effective, and culturally competent patient care for individuals requiring stabilization and/or resuscitation across all age groups. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, diagnosis, outcome identification, care planning, implementation, and evaluation using critical thinking and evidence-based practice. You will prioritize and triage care needs, provide crisis intervention for specialized patient populations (such as sexual assault survivors), and ensure adherence to emergency operations preparedness protocols. Additionally, you will follow the Professional Practice Standards as defined by the ANA and actively contribute to quality monitoring and performance improvement initiatives.

Manager, Emergency Care
While the position does not have formal supervisory duties, it includes some responsibility for coordinating work, providing guidance, instruction, and training to colleagues. The RN may act as a group leader or in an informal supervisory role, offering suggestions or input on human resources matters when necessary.
Materials Responsibility:
Limited responsibility for material resources, including supplies and equipment. Errors in handling resources are unlikely to result in significant financial or operational impacts, and the difficulty in managing these resources is minimal.
Interaction with a diverse group of individuals, both inside and outside the organization. Communication may involve detailed discussions and exchanges of information, sometimes requiring complex problem-solving and handling stressful situations. A moderate level of interpersonal skills is needed for effective interactions.
Exposure to adverse environmental conditions, including physical hazards and health/safety risks, which require safety equipment and precautions. You may be exposed to these conditions for up to 70% of the workday.
