What’s the Gig?
As a Design Engineer (Mechanical), you’ll dive into the nuts and bolts of our power distribution and monitoring/metering gear. Think designing, prototyping, and rolling out equipment that keeps the world powered up. You’ll research, sketch, test, and tweak mechanical hardware, ensuring it meets standards, codes, and our sky-high expectations. From engineered-to-order (ETO) specs to production handoff, you’ll keep things humming—literally.

The Payoff:

Salary: $60,300–$119,700 (Bachelor’s) with a $6,000 sign-on bonus, or $80,000 (Master’s) with a $10,000 sign-on bonus. (Note: Pay varies based on your skills, experience, and market vibes.)

What You’ll Do:

• Cook up mechanical designs, installation plans, and test strategies for new products, guiding them from concept to production.

• Team up with Senior Engineers to test, certify (think NRTL standards), and perfect our gear.

• Document everything—designs, tests, updates—in our engineering vault.

• Suggest tweaks to boost quality or cut costs via ECR/ECN, ISO9001, and VAVE processes.

• Cross-train on PDU, RPP, STS, Magnetics, and Busway products.

• Keep the shop tidy, safe, and efficient, collaborating with Production to streamline workflows.

• Stay compliant with all the rules—safety, regulatory, and internal.

What You’ll Need (The Basics):

• Bachelor’s in Engineering from an accredited school (graduating by August 2025).

• At least one internship, co-op, or 3 months of mechanical engineering experience under your belt.

Even Better If You’ve Got:

• Enclosure design or load analysis skills.

• Sheet metal design know-how.

• Manufacturing floor experience.

• Electro-mechanical systems smarts.

• High-power product design chops.
