Position Title: Registered Nurse – Pulmonary
Hourly Pay Range: $28.00 – $52.64 (Based on experience and qualifications)
Location: 519 S Roselle Rd, Schaumburg, IL
Schedule: Full Time – 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in our Pulmonary department, you will play an integral role in patient care, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will utilize the nursing process to provide coordinated care, adjusting care plans as necessary to meet the individual health needs of your patients.

In this role, you will support patients and their families in managing pulmonary conditions through education, care coordination, and facilitating community resources to promote self-management. You will be an essential part of the care team, working closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care, adjusting plans as necessary to meet individual needs. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Education and Support: Educate patients and families on disease management, emergency care, and treatment options. Help identify resources for patient self-management.
  • Care Coordination: Work closely with the provider and interdisciplinary team to manage and communicate the patient’s care plan, ensuring seamless delivery of services.
  • Documentation: Accurately document patient health data, care interventions, and communications in compliance with organizational standards.
  • Quality and Improvement: Participate in quality measurement and improvement activities.
  • Clinical Standards: Adhere to Northwest Community Healthcare standards, policies, and procedures while maintaining clinical competencies.
  • Team Collaboration: Build and maintain respectful relationships with physicians, peers, and staff to promote a collaborative care environment.
  • Patient Experience: Focus on improving patient experience by providing compassionate care, handling difficult situations with professionalism, and ensuring timely follow-up.

What You’ll Need

  • Education: Completion of an Associate’s degree, diploma, or BSN from an accredited nursing school.
  • Licensure: Current Illinois nursing licensure.
  • Certification: Current CPR certification required.
  • Experience: One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting is preferred. Specialty experience may vary depending on the department. New RN graduates are welcome to apply for certain departments.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, ability to work well within a team, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
