JOB SUMMARY

Position: Clinical Laboratory Technologist (Entry Level)
Location: Hollywood, Florida

Position Summary:

As an entry-level Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. You will follow established protocols to ensure quality control and compliance with professional standards.

Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (Max of 3 days per week, with weekend flexibility required)
Preferred: Experience with infectious disease testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and complete tasks efficiently, managing resources such as productivity, supplies, instruments, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and laboratory policies.
• Report test results promptly in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
• Perform accurate and appropriate specimen testing according to set procedures.
• Maintain laboratory quality control and uphold high professional standards of practice.

Education & Certification Requirements:

• Associate’s degree (Required)
• Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (State of Florida – FL)

Complexity of Work:

• Basic knowledge of laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work independently in a stressful environment.

Required Work Experience:

• No prior work experience required.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:

Physical Demands: Frequent standing, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).

Exposure to Hazards: Potential exposure to biological hazards, blood, bodily fluids, hazardous chemicals, and infectious diseases.

Work Environment: Laboratory setting with possible exposure to noise, fire risk, and mechanical parts.

Shift:

Evenings (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, flexibility required)
