The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit (CCU) provides safe, effective, and culturally-competent care to high-risk patients ranging from adolescents to aging adults with life-threatening medical-surgical conditions. The RN is responsible for performing complex assessments, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care using evidence-based practices and critical thinking. This role involves providing high-intensity therapies and continuous nursing surveillance while adhering to Professional Practice Standards as set by the ANA. Active participation in quality improvement and performance monitoring is also essential.
Reporting To: Manager
This position includes limited supervisory duties, such as assigning and coordinating work, offering guidance, and providing informal leadership to team members. While the RN will not have formal supervisory responsibilities, they may be expected to provide training, direction, and assistance with human resource matters when needed.
The RN has limited responsibility for material resources, such as supplies and equipment. The role involves monitoring the quality of these resources, with a focus on minimizing errors and waste. The complexity of handling material resources is minimal.
This role involves interactions with a diverse range of individuals, often in complex or stressful situations. Effective communication skills are essential to address sensitive topics and resolve challenging issues. The RN must be able to gain the cooperation of others, navigate difficult conversations, and work collaboratively with different teams.
The RN will face routine exposure to physical hazards, health and safety risks, and other adverse environmental conditions, with protective equipment and precautions in place. Exposure to these conditions will account for up to 70% of the workday.

Pay Range: $32.25 – $49.00 per hour
Actual pay will be determined based on factors such as experience, education, location, licensure, certifications, and market comparisons.
