Job Description

Order Management Developer

Join our Order Management team, where you’ll help design and develop advanced equity trading tools that are critical to our trading operations. In this role, you’ll work directly with traders to gather requirements, enhance existing functionality, and create innovative new solutions for order execution.

You’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of your projects—from initial requirements and development to deployment and ongoing maintenance. As part of our regular two-to-three-year toolset refresh, you’ll also be encouraged to explore and propose new technologies that enhance our systems. Our current tech stack includes C#, WPF, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and C++, among others.

What You Can Expect From Us

Real Impact
Your work will contribute directly to the stability and performance of systems that handle large volumes of real-time trading data. Your solutions will help power decision-making across the firm—faster, smarter, and more effectively.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
You’ll work alongside talented system engineers, software developers, technical analysts, and network architects to build world-class, competitive technology solutions.

Continuous Growth
We value curiosity and problem-solving over industry-specific experience. If you’re a driven developer eager to learn, innovate, and grow, you’ll thrive here—even without a background in proprietary trading or finance.

Comprehensive Benefits
We offer a highly competitive benefits package that supports your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.

What We’re Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of progressive experience developing software applications using object-oriented programming languages
  • 7–10 years of recent, hands-on experience with .NET, C++, or Python
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A solid understanding of and willingness to contribute across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Important for Agencies

We value strong recruiting partnerships, but we only consider resumes from agencies with a signed agreement in place. Please contact recruiting@sig.com if you’d like to partner with us. Submissions without a signed agreement will not be eligible for agency fees.
