Your Day at a Glance

As an R&D Project Manager within our Large Generators Engineering organization, you will lead complex Research & Development and Mods & Upgrades projects—managing scope, timelines, and budgets with full accountability. Your work will directly shape innovative products, services, and solutions that position Siemens Energy at the forefront of the energy industry.

Your Impact

Partner with stakeholders to define project scope, gather requirements, and ensure alignment across project teams.

Launch and lead projects in collaboration with Product Management, clearly defining targets, deliverables, and boundaries.

Work closely with Technical Leads and Resource Owners to build and manage project plans using tools like Microsoft Project and Concerto (Critical Chain).

Oversee the full product development lifecycle, ensuring projects meet scope, cost, quality, and timeline expectations.

Coordinate cross-functional collaboration—engineering, quality, supply chain, manufacturing, and beyond—to drive execution.

Maintain strong communication with internal teams and customers, serving as the central point of contact.

Represent your project in leadership reviews and resource planning meetings, negotiating priorities and raising risks when needed.

Proactively manage scope changes, mitigate risks, and champion continuous improvement throughout execution.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred).

8+ years of experience in project management and/or technical leadership in an engineering environment.

Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams through challenges.

Deep problem-solving skills, agility, and a collaborative approach to leadership.

Strong foundation in Lean and Agile methodologies; experience with complex project scheduling and delivery.

Knowledge of turbomachinery, product development processes, and engineering best practices.

PMP, RDPM, or equivalent project management certification highly desirable.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship (internal Siemens Energy candidates with visa support may be eligible for transfer).
