Position Overview:
The University of West Florida School of Nursing invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure earning Lecturer position. The primary responsibility is teaching in the pre-licensure nursing program across classroom, online, and clinical settings. The role involves integrating technology into instruction and delivering content aligned with the faculty member’s area of clinical expertise. Assignments may include other nursing programs as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Experience teaching and supervising pre-licensure students in clinical settings
- Current or eligible for an unencumbered Florida Nursing License at the time of hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Nursing or related field
- Clinical experience in at least one of the following areas: acute care, community health, pediatrics, or mental health
Work Schedule:
Schedule varies based on teaching and clinical assignments; may include evenings and weekends.
Special Requirements:
- Level 2 criminal background check
- Valid Florida nursing license
- Must meet all School of Nursing onboarding and clinical site requirements
